Here, finally are our pics of our trip to Hawaii.
"What?!" your saying. "You went to Hawaii?! When did this happen?"
I know. It was sort of last minute. We'd been saving/planning for a trip to Mexico for a long time - the idea being to use our grandparent's timeshare and Seville's passport (that we got when she was an infant - at expedited prices - for a Spain trip that didn't happen - I didn't want to feel like the passport was a total waste), and to go before she turned 2 so we wouldn't have to buy her a plane ticket. The Mexico thing didn't work out, and like dummies we couldn't get ourselves together during the holidays to plan a trip in time. So we went the week AFTER she turned 2 and had to buy her a ticket anyway. Oh well. Despite the fact that she didn't sleep on either flight (8+ hours on a plane, through naptime one way, into midnight the other!) she was totally sweet and fun. I couldn't have been more delighted to have her along the whole time.

Sounds like Sevile did much better on the plane than Dallin did when we flew to Seattle right after he turned 2. He wanted to walk in the aisle. Flight attendants frown on that. I'm so jealous you went to Maui. Wait, no I'm not, I've been there 4 times. Okay, I am jealous. What part of the island were you on? I was always in Kapalua.
Oh man, that makes me sooo homesick for Hawaii. Looks like you guys had a great time. Wish we were there.
I am so glad I got to see pictures. It looks so fun and warm. I have never had much desire to go to Hawaii but now I am thinking it seems kind of nice.
Skye, how random to find your link on Lisa Pereira's blog...I would love to get caught up after all of these years. Sooo many memories! email me and lets get back in touch!!- Julie Darrington
maybe it would be helpful to leave my email.....olsenfam@gmail.com
looks awesome! it also makes me yearn (yes, yearn) for another rice/engstrom trip.
Oh, the yearning is mutual, Sarah. Believe me. You should've seen us pining and whining at ourselves when you went to Hawaii with those OTHER friends of yours. :)
Love Jared's feet in the air! He may be awesomely flying along in front of the wave...but it looks like he's getting pounded into the sand:)
Actually, he WAS getting pounded into the sand. He caught some awesome waves later, but I didn't get them on film.
